Description
- CHO-K1/CRE-bla/CRHR1 is a stable recombinant human cell line expressing the human Corticotropin Releasing Factor Receptor 1 (CRHR1). Under the control of the Cyclic AMP Response Element (CRE) response element, this cell line can stably express the beta-lactamase (bla) reporter gene. Using a low-dose treatment of Mitomycin-C, these cells are irreversibly division arrested, but without apparent toxicity or change in cellular signal transduction. These cells have been functionally validated and tested under variable conditions. CRHR1 and CRHR2 are involved in the integration of autonomic, neuroendocrine, and behavioral responses to stress.
