Description

  • CHO-K1/NFAT-bla/HCRTR2 is a stable recombinant human cell line expressing the hhuman Hypocretin 2 receptor (HCRTR2). Under the control of the Nuclear Factor of Activated T-cells (NFAT) response element and the Promiscuous G protein, Gα15, this cell line can stably express the beta-lactamase (bla) reporter gene. Using a low-dose treatment of Mitomycin-C, these cells are irreversibly division arrested, but without apparent toxicity or change in cellular signal transduction. These cells have been functionally validated and tested under variable conditions. The HCRTR2 receptor is expressed in brain, adrenal gland, pancreas and gastrointestinal tract. It is implicated in narcolepsy.
