Description

  • CHO-K1/CRE-bla/PTGDR is a stable recombinant human cell line expressing the human Prostanoid (PTGDR) Receptor. Under the control of the Cyclic AMP Response Element (CRE) response element, this cell line can stably express the beta-lactamase (bla) reporter gene. Using a low-dose treatment of Mitomycin-C, these cells are irreversibly division arrested, but without apparent toxicity or change in cellular signal transduction. These cells have been functionally validated and tested under variable conditions. The PTGDR receptor is mainly expressed in vascular smooth muscle cells, blood platelets, and brain. It is involved in the regulation of sleep, and allergic and asthmatic responses.
