Description
- CHO-K1/NFAT-bla/P2RY6 is a stable recombinant human cell line expressing the human Purinergic receptor P2, G protein-coupled, 6 (P2RY6). Under the control of the Nuclear Factor of Activated T-cells (NFAT) response element, this cell line can stably express the beta-lactamase (bla) reporter gene. Using a low-dose treatment of Mitomycin-C, these cells are irreversibly division arrested, but without apparent toxicity or change in cellular signal transduction. These cells have been functionally validated and tested under variable conditions. P2RY6 is expressed in various rat tissue, such as lung, stomach, placenta, spleen, and heart. It is implicated to be involved in vasodilatation, ion transport, and contraction of smooth muscle.
