Description
- HEK293T/Gα15-NFAT-bla/EDG3 is a stable recombinant human cell line expressing the human Endothelial Differentiation Receptor 3 (EDG3). Under the control of the Nuclear Factor of Activated T-cells (NFAT) response element and the Promiscuous G protein, Gα15, this cell line can stably express the beta-lactamase (bla) reporter gene. Using a low-dose treatment of Mitomycin-C, these cells are irreversibly division arrested, but without apparent toxicity or change in cellular signal transduction. These cells have been functionally validated and tested under variable conditions. EDG3 or Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 3 (S1P3), which is a Gq/Gi/Go/Gα13/Gα12 coupled GPCR, has been shown identified as a functional receptor for sphingosine 1-phosphate and likely contributes to the regulation of angiogenesis and vascular endothelial cell function.
