Description

  • CHO-K1/CRE-bla/AVPR2 is a stable recombinant human cell line expressing the human Arginine Vasopressin 2 (AVPR2). Under the control of the Cyclic AMP Response Element (CRE) response element, this cell line can stably express the beta-lactamase (bla) reporter gene. Using a low-dose treatment of Mitomycin-C, these cells are irreversibly division arrested, but without apparent toxicity or change in cellular signal transduction. These cells have been functionally validated and tested under variable conditions. Agonists and antagonists of AVPR2 have been reported to be associated with the treatment of hypertension and as diuretics.
