Description

  • HEK293T/NFAT-bla/EDNRB is a stable recombinant human cell line expressing the human Endothelin Type B Recpetor (EDNRB). Under the control of the Nuclear Factor of Activated T-cells (NFAT) response element, this cell line can stably express the beta-lactamase (bla) reporter gene. Using a low-dose treatment of Mitomycin-C, these cells are irreversibly division arrested, but without apparent toxicity or change in cellular signal transduction. These cells have been functionally validated and tested under variable conditions. The EDNRB receptor mediates the signal transduction of several endothelin proteins, which are involved in the regulation of several key biological processes, such as the the production of some hormones, development and function of blood vessels, and the stimulation of cell growth and division. The defects of EDNRB are related to various diseases, including cancer, and cardiovascular disorders
