• CHO-K1/CRE-bla/MC1R is a stable recombinant human cell line expressing the human Melanocortin Receptor 1 (MC1R). Under the control of the Cyclic AMP Response Element (CRE) response element, this cell line can stably express the beta-lactamase (bla) reporter gene. This cell line has been functionally validated and tested under variable conditions. The MC1 receptor, the melanocyte-stimulating hormone receptor, is expressed in melanocytes. It is involved in the regulation of pigment production.
