• CHO-K1/CRE-bla/MC4R is a stable recombinant human cell line expressing the human Melanocortin Receptor 4 (MC4R). Under the control of the Cyclic AMP Response Element (CRE) response element, this cell line can stably express the beta-lactamase (bla) reporter gene. This cell line has been functionally validated and tested under variable conditions. The MC4 receptor is expressed almost exclusively in the CNS.
