Detailed Information

• CHO-K1/CRE-bla/MC5R is a stable recombinant human cell line expressing the human Melanocortin Receptor 5 (MC5R). Under the control of the Cyclic AMP Response Element (CRE) response element, this cell line can stably express the beta-lactamase (bla) reporter gene. This cell line has been functionally validated and tested under variable conditions. MC5R, expressed in skin, muscle, lung, liver, spleen, and adrenal tissue, is involved in fat storage in the sebocyte cells of the skin, and aggressive behavior.
